moody florals.

H&M floral scarf, lace bra, denim leggings and black stone ring; free people sheer button down; bb dakota tweed blazer; forever 21 cardigan, watch, and silver bracelets; marc by marc jacobs pyramid stud bracelet; fashionology.nl hammered knuckle ring and claw ring; steve madden booties.

bright florals are gorgeous and i love them on other people, but usually they just aren't for me. moody florals are another story, and i flipped when i saw this scarf. it's a great way to add a little something to my outfits. i tied it two different ways around my neck, as you can see in the last two pictures. which way do you like better?

my secret to wearing 4.5" heeled shoes as often as i can are some ultra thick and plush dr. scholls socks with purple grips on the bottom - you can find them at retailers everywhere. they make all of my high heeled boots super comfortable, and this is especially so with these steve madden booties, as it makes them not slip.

blog shop update is being put off till later; i'm such a procrastinator.
but i hope you guys had a great weekend!
i'm ready to spend the next few hours checking out the lastest collections from
paris fashion week.

gorgeous girl! As much as I love small pops of bright colors during the warm weather, never fail to love moody florals all the time!

i love the tied scarf! I'm really excited to keep reading your blog as summer comes along...I only started reading a couple of months ago and i'm interested to see how your dark/tailored aesthetic translates to spring! i'm sure it will be adorable though if that cool scarf is any indication!

I'm not a fan of florals at all, actually, but this scarf is just right. It's so good it's from h&m, because when I saw these photos I was like: "oh, no, it's probably something vintage that is nowhere to be found in 'normal' shops"

:)

Great blog, by the way :)

everyone - picture of socks: http://i44.tinypic.com/snyjvp.jpg
name of socks: dr. scholls soft spa socks with gripper bottoms

mary margaret - i'm really scared for summer because i don't know how to dress in the heat (i like dark and layers!), but i'm also excited to try out some new things and i really love cutoff denim shorts, so i'll be playing around with those a lot =)

tiny-lights - i do, and i'm not sure if that makes for a good blog, but hey i'm having fun and i love creating different outfits with the same basic silhouette, so why not! p.s. i love your blog!

gih - it's me!

misery - lucky for you, i shop a lot at H&M (because i work there), and indy doesn't have that many great vintage shops! hehe =)

jamie clare - mine's a small and a bit oversized too; that's why i love it! oh and i just prefer pants to skirts/dresses =)

fashion chalet - aww! thanks =)
